Grissini is an iconic piece of Italian history hand-crafted in Italy in the late 60s.
You should know ceramic breadsticks holders are an iconic piece of Italian pop culture since back in the days you would find them on the table of every Ristorante and Pizzeria. We were used to eat breadsticks while waiting our main dish or pizza to be served.
Breadsticks holders would come in any materials, shape and colours.
I have to underline that this breadstick holder is the most refined and beautiful I've ever seen.
This piece was hand-crafted and hand painted with the exquisite "crayon drawing technique". This rare piece shows the hand-written word " Grissini" which means "Breadsticks" in Italian. The body comes in a warm ivory color with cheerful light green curly lines. The handle is entirely made of bamboo. Exquisite details! The artist name "Taddei" is hand-written on the bottom of this unique piece. This piece shows the label of the refined company name "Ceramiche Lavoratti" and it's numbered on the bottom.
It comes in perfect conditions. No chips or cracks at all. It seems it has never been used before.
You can use it to surprise your guests during an Italian dinner by filling it with home made breadsticks or bread, or it can become a retro flowering centrepiece. Why not using it in your bathroom as a toothbrush holder?
