Victorian Gothic Gates and Panels, 1800s, Set of 4

A stunning set, including a pair of Gothic Revival medium sized gates with 2 accompanying side panels, hand carved with carved finials.
The surface retains its original patina, with visible wear, historic paint remnants, and age-related markings that speak to decades of use within a working church environment. The original latch & hinges remain in place (Hinges may need to be replaced), adding further authenticity and charm. The scale and weight of the set give it a strong architectural presence, making it suitable for reuse as a functional interior door or as a dramatic decorative or salvage feature.
Original Condition - No attempts have been made to strip, refinish, or restore this piece.

No wood splits to either of the Gates but Gate 2 does have a small minor chip to the top. Both of the flanking Fences have 1 split each, with the split to the hinge side on Fence 1 and a medium chip to the top of the door and then a smaller split to Fence 2.

Provenance: These have been removed from St Hugh’s Catholic Church in Liverpool, originally established as a chapel-of-ease from St Clare in 1898, the church of St Hugh of Lincoln was opened in 1904.
