Hand-knotted in a blend of wool, jute, silk and cotton, this 12x15 rug by Rug&Kilim is a new addition to the French Art Deco rug collection—a contemporary ode to the 1920s style moderne, geometric patterns inspired by some of the most iconic period pieces of the movement. On the Design: Tones of beige-brown and cream underscore geometric patterns with a particular influence from Da Silva Bruhns-style rectilinear designs, as bold and unexpected in the 1920s as they are chic in this revival of the sensibility. Keen eyes and admirers of the craft will note the refined texture and sharp drawing adapted to this large scale, beautifully recapturing the sense of depth and graphic beauty of this European movement in a modern, luxury quality.
