Rare Meissen porcelain coffee service in Biedermeier style; The set consists of a teapot, a sugar bowl, a milk and 11 cups with a plate; The various pieces are made in fine white hand painted porcelain with the decoration "Pink Roses" enriched on all items with sumptuous relief decorations not painted. Unlike "Pink Roses" simple and quite common, this model is very rare, prestigious and sought after, so even more expensive; In fact the objects with this relevant decoration, much more particular and detailed than others, were cooked three times, while those with only the "Pink Roses" decoration only twice. Furthermore, the execution of this ornamental motif with delicate and aggravated flowers was entrusted only to the most experienced and capable painters, those in possession of the prestigious diploma obtained at the "Meissen Design School" established in 1764. The teapot and sugar knobs they represent two harmonious and pretty rose buds, also handmade; The edges of the cups and saucers are scalloped and finished in zecchino gold as well as the other decorations of the teapot and sugar bowl. All the pieces lead the original mark of MEISSEN (two crossed swords) and the attached list can be affirmed with certainty that our service was produced between 1934 and 1944; Furthermore, on objects the model is handwritten (61/106) this wording makes the artifacts even more valuable and appreciated as they keep all the characteristics of the author's calligraphy. Meissen's porcelain was created in the castle of Albrechtsburg, in Meissen, a small town in Saxony near Dresden, in 1710, to want Augustus the Fort (1670-1733), Prince Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, who wanted to start Production after studies and experiments of its alchemist Bottger. Bottger discovered the porcelain formula, in fact at the time, only the Chinese and the Japanese had the recipe to create this wonderful material; Meissen was, therefore, the first porcelain produced in Europe! Bottger never revealed its formula to anyone, only a certain phase was known to the workers; We do not know, even today, in what proportions the different components are mixed; This is the great secret that allowed the famous brand to be considered the best in the world, the "white gold" nickname is given to Meissen's porcelain! Over the years, Meissen has perfected its hard pasta products with a high temperature cooking during glazing. Meissen porcelain models have been copied from many other producers worldwide like Royal Copenhagen, Dresden, Herend, and many others, but Meissen porcelain enamel maintains its quality over time and is superior to all (dishes It does not scratch with prolonged use of the cutlery!) This is why also the old Meissen porcelain seems so new and maintains its excellent condition, while other porcelains are bushed and aged, losing their brightness and color. Perfect and accurate painting on Meissen porcelain far exceeds any other porcelain in the world. Our Meissen coffee service summarizes all these precious features of rarity and enchanting beauty. All the pieces are in excellent condition. For all our expeditions we use special packaging materials (wooden cases, polystyrene, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of objects.
