About This Piece

Vintage Design

Authentic Louis-Philippe period office chair (mid-19th century) in solid walnut. Made in France.

This chair perfectly embodies the furniture of the French bourgeoisie of the 1840s, emphasizing comfort and solid lines.

It features elegantly curved "console" armrests and cabriole front legs. Its walnut frame boasts a deep and warm honey patina. The back and seat are upholstered in a fine-ribbed red fabric, accented by traditional upholstery tacks in aged brass.

A distinctive, stable, and comfortable piece that fits equally well in a classic study or in a living room with a mix of antique and contemporary styles.
