Hinterland

Designer Riley McFerrin was born in 1975 in Los Angeles, California. He studied fine art and design at the University of Oregon, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1996. In 2011, he established Hinterland, a multidisciplinary design studio, in Vancouver, British Columbia. The studio creates functional objects for the home, with a special emphasis on handcraft and natural materials sourced from the forests and beaches of British Columbia.
