Hagit Pincovici was born in 1978 in Tel Aviv. She is a third-generation artisan who studied industrial design at Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design in Jerusalem, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2005. That same year, she was awarded a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for her outstanding design achievements. After graduation, Pincovici served as director of the design department at Aqua Creations LTD, a Tel Aviv-based lighting and furniture atelier, for two years. She went on to study design management at Domus in Italy, and was given a full scholarship for her talents. During her second year, in 2009, she placed first in academic achievements in design studies at the school. She graduated in 2009 with a Master’s degree. Since then, Pincovici has taught subjects such as Methodology of Design/Studio and Urban Design at Naba Design Academy in Milan. Pincovici established her professional studio in 2013, and divides her time between Milan and Rome.

Pincovici’s work is characterized by a sense of modernity, sophistication, and refinement. Notable furniture projects thus far include her handcrafted Metaphysics Collection (2014) and Eclipse series (2015). The former features Pincovici’s abstract interpretations of various artistic styles and practices, including Art Deco and aerial photography, while the latter was inspired by both the shape of the moon and the properties of white Carrera marble. As of this writing, in addition to her own self-produced works, she has collaborated with brands such as Miniforms and Colé on designs.
