About This Piece

Vintage Design

Originally hand-crafted and individually assembled, the "Africa" features a solid wood support structure with a narrow rectangular cross-section. This model shows off the thickness pattern of the veneers best; Above the seat made of curved plywood covered with leather, a backrest with great sculptural power takes shape. The perfect match of the curved lines is achieved by making this piece from a single piece of wood, divided and finished into two mirror-like parts.
