About This Piece

Vintage Design

Mould blown, baluster-shaped body with a wide, spinning-top-like belly, attached, spherical neck with flared rim, offset, flush base with ground, polished pontil, matt-cut arrow signature mark (- the symbol taken from the Spaun coat of arms was registered in 1891 as a trademark for glasses from Klostermühle; it was used as a signature on glasses from around 1898). Shape: Series II, Prod. No. - PN 178, year 1900 (old: 8065, year 1899) Decor: Bronze Phenomeneon Genre - PG 29 Colorless glass, bronze-colored overlay, wrapped with blue veined bands in silver-yellow and irregularly warped, leaving out bronze-colored windows. Model-blown and shaped, reduced and iridescent, in silver-yellow bluish on the outer wall, inside of the mouth opening in silver-yellow.
