Vintage Design

A rare treasure of French industrial design: This Ki E Klair Model 210 engineer's lamp from the 1920s combines uncompromising functionality with elegant Art Deco flair. Designed by Alphonse Pinoit (1881–1961), it is one of the most sought-after original pieces of its era.

Made of chrome-plated aluminum, the lamp impresses with its technical precision and sophisticated adjustability. It can be mounted on vertical surfaces such as table legs, heating pipes, or shelves, and its telescopic system allows for flexible height adjustment. The tilt and rotation of the lamp head are freely adjustable – providing task lighting exactly where it's needed.

Its slender shade emphasizes the clean lines of French design from the 1920s. Minor signs of wear and patina lend it an authentic, vibrant character. The designer's initials and logo are still visible on the screws – a detail found on only a few surviving examples today.

The Ki E Klair 210 was featured in Jean Prouvé's studio, illuminating his drawing tables—a striking testament to its cultural and artisanal significance. An iconic, rare piece of French design history—functional, distinctive, and timelessly beautiful.
